The Long Beach South Bay Chapter of CAMFT (LBSB CAMFT) supports licensed therapists, pre-licensed clinicians, and allied professionals through professional development, networking, and community engagement.

Our chapter creates a space where mental health professionals can connect, learn, and grow together while strengthening the communities we serve.

Our Mission

The Long Beach South Bay Chapter is dedicated to serving its members, the mental health profession, and the local community.

We strive to create an environment where clinicians can:

    • Expand their professional knowledge
    • Build meaningful professional relationships
    • Develop leadership skills
    • Contribute to the advancement of the mental health field

Our Parent Organization

The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) is the statewide professional organization representing approximately 38,000 members across California.

CAMFT consists of 26 local chapters, including the Long Beach South Bay Chapter. Together, these chapters provide professional advocacy, continuing education, and support for Marriage and Family Therapists and related professionals.

What We Offer

Continuing Education and Training

Our chapter offers regular continuing education opportunities designed for clinicians at all stages of their careers.

Members receive discounted registration for all events.

Networking and Professional Community

LBSB CAMFT provides a supportive professional network where clinicians can connect with peers across the region.

Leadership Opportunities

Serving in chapter leadership provides clinicians with the opportunity to develop valuable professional skills while helping shape the future of the organization.

Membership Policy

To become a member of the Long Beach South Bay Chapter, individuals must first be an active member of CAMFT.

  • CAMFT membership must remain active throughout chapter membership
    If CAMFT membership lapses, a 30-day grace period will apply
    The Director of Membership may contact members before chapter benefits are suspended
