Mindfulness: Tools for Clinical Practice and Development

      with Bindu Khurana-Brown, MFT

Mindfulness is a term that has been gaining increased traction over the last decade or so. Gone are the days of conceptualizing mindfulness as quiet reflection; rather, we recognize the value in its inherent ability to delve further into our sense of self.  It can be a powerful tool used with clients throughout the life cycle with varying clinical presentations. This presentation will allow the learner an opportunity to look at Mindfulness from varying theoretical lenses while practicing techniques that can be immediately applied to their clinical practice.

    Educational Learning Objectives

    1.      Attendees will learn three (3) methods of incorporating mindfulness into their clinical practice.

    2.      Attendees will identify two (2) impacts of mindfulness on behavioral health functioning.

    3. Attendees will have space to practice mindfulness techniques while paying attention to impact on self of the therapist.
